helioSHEAR is a unique, all-natural sunblock that offers cumulative UVR protection at the cellular level.

Eluxier recommends multi-functional suncare every day. Damage from UVR and visible light is cumulative, therefore, prevention is the most crucial defense.

helioSHEAR is a multifunctional sunblock that helps skin in dynamic ways.

S - Shields from broad-spectrum UVR (similar to SPF 40, PA++++).
H - Hydrates for 95+ hours to dewy, supple skin, all day long.
E - Extends sweat/water resistance for over 6 hours.
A - Activates natural defense against UVR that makes the skin resilient.
R - Repairs the DNA damage at cellular level, even when out in the sun.

The key ingredients in helioSHEAR are Karanjin and Pongamol, the flavonoids derived from the seed extract of Pongamia pinnata. These flavonoids are potent UV absorbers, and along with Cellulose Nanofibrils, they help scatter the UVR away from the skin.

The Polyphenols from Grapeseed oil and the Rice Wax help repair the damage caused by UVR, while the biomimic Ceramide and Arginine complex ensure that the skin remains supple the whole day long.

This is a 100% natural sunblock, completely safe for sensitive skin, pregnant & lactating mothers, and kids.

This formula is preserved using a natural organic acid.

How to Use

Use in the AM.
Apply over face elixir (or face serum)
Take a liberal amount on your fingertips. Gently rub between the fingertips to activate the oils and dab your fingers across your face and neck making several dots. Spread gently and merge all the dots with upward circular strokes until completely absorbed.
Reapply only if consistent sun exposure for 5+ Hrs.
Sunblocks are oil and mineral rich emulsions, cleansing thoroughly in the PM is endorsed as a good habit.

Ingredients

Butylene Glycol: An alcoholic compound derived from Sugarcane and a potent humectant.
Caprylic Capric Triglyceride: A fatty acid made by combining coconut oil and glycerine. It is a natural emollient that brings moisture from deeper layers to the epidermis.
Cellulose nanofibrils: Made from wood pulp. It enhances the UV-blocking capability of other natural UV filters. It is also a humectant and keeps skin supple.
Ceramide Complex: This is a biomimic complex of 5 types of Ceramides; NP, AP, EOP, Phytosphingosine, and Plant Based Cholesterol, similar to lamellar lipid of the skin barrier and provides sustained moisturization.
Coconut Oil: helioSHEAR uses extra virgin coconut oil with a high SPF value. It is rich in small chain fatty acids that absorb quickly, providing instant moisturization, and Lauric acid that acts as an anti-infective and anti-inflammatory.
Dihydroxypropyl Arginine: A prebiotic that nurtures the skin microbiome. It provides resistance against acne bacteria, slows skin aging, and provides long-lasting moisturization. It also offers an anti-pollution effect.
Epsom Salt: Anti-inflammatory. Helps in soothing the skin.
Grapeseed Oil: Extracted from wine grapes. Polyphenols such as proanthocyanidins, resveratrol, and flavonoids are potent antioxidants that neutralize free radicals, reduce oxidative stress, and protect skin cells from damage caused by environmental exposomes like UV radiation and pollution. It triggers the release of vascular endothelial growth factor that helps in faster wound and scar healing.
Isoamyl Laurate: An oil-based emollient made by enzymatic action on sustainable palm oil. It offers high SPF boosting due to the even dispersal of minerals.
Kaolin: Natural clay that blocks broadspectrum UV and enhances the skin-feel of the sunblock.
Karanja Oil: The hero ingredient of this formula. The oil from the seeds of Pongamia contains flavonoids, Pongamol, and Karanjin. Pongamol is a strong antioxidant that removes free radicals and microbial pathogens that threaten skin integrity. Karanjin protects from broadspectrum UVR. Exceptionally active, it also has anti-aging, soothing, and antimicrobial properties.
Mango Butter: The seed extract of Mango is rich in Stearic, Oleic, Linoleic, and Palmitic acid among other fatty acids that contribute to the biomimic lamellar lipid matrix of the skin barrier. Mango Butter acts as a UV filter and prevents against broadspectrum UVR.
Micronised Zinc Oxide: An uncoated powder that provides UV protection against UVB and UVA, even beyond the critical wavelength of 370nm. Due to its uniform size distribution, it doesn't cause a white cast. With an extremely low sensitization profile, it is even safe for infants.
Polyglyceryl-4 Diisostearate/Polyhydroxystearate/Sebacate: A natural emulsifier that also acts as a strong emollient.
RiceBran Wax: A by-product of rice processing. It boosts tyrosinase and TRP-2 enzymes that prevent skin cell cancer, cell aging, and premature cell death. It also suppresses the MMP-2 enzyme and stimulates collagen synthesis. The wax is rich in oleic, linoleic, palmitic, and stearic acids, and biomimic ceramides, which improve skin elasticity.
Sodium Levulinate/Potassium Sorbate: This combination of weak alpha hydroxy acid helps in skin proliferation and faster cell renewal and turnover.
