About the product

A low-pH, all-natural shampoo that rinses away the harsh minerals found in hard-water and reverses the damage on continued usage.

Human hair is one of the most exposed body organs, braving almost all the exposomes (weather, pollution, stress, chemicals, etc.), leading to degraded hair health. Also, hard water exposure, in the long term, causes mineral deposits onto hair strands, depriving the scalp of moisture, nutrition, and microbiome, causing fragile hair, and reduced tensile strength and elasticity.

This formula doesn't have any of the DIRTY30 chemicals.

Packed with Niacinamide, D-Panthenol that helps with new hair growth, and improved hair cell viability and a biomimic Protein Complex from Wheat germ, Soy and Corn that has similar amino acid composition as natural keratin, therefore readily penetrates into hair shafts, making up for lost keratin due to general negligence of haircare.

Usāwā restores Hair Cell Membrane Complex (HCMC), provides sustained hydration, re-establishes water repellency of hair, and protects the scalp microbiome.

Who can use

Especially made for sensitive scalp and difficult-to-manage hair. Formulated for hard-water hair wash. Helpful for rapid hair fall and textural issues. Safe for children. Safe for pregnant and lactating mothers.

Warning

Although rare, some may be allergic to natural ingredients. Eluxier recommends a patch test observation for 8 hours. Discontinue usage immediately in case of inflammation or discomfort. Store in a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight.

How to Use

Apply on wet hair. Take liberal amount on palm and activate lather by rubbing between the palms. Apply on scalp and hair follicles. Gently massage for 60-90 seconds. Let the lather reach the tips of hair strands. Wait for 3-5 minutes and wash off with lukewarm water.
Eluxier recommends shampoo twice every week after a brief oil massage.

Ingredients

1. Cocoyl Glutamate is the main cleansing agent of Usawa. It is a plant-based surfactant made of coconut oil, corn, and sugars that leave skin soft and silky after shampoo. It prevents colour loss in dyed hair even after repeated washes. It prevents the loss of natural oils from the hair, leaving them conditioned and smooth after hair washing.

2. Coco Betaine is a Humectant and a gentle conditioner with anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. It prevents hair from drying after shampooing and maintains the combing ability.

3. Decyl Glucoside is a plant-based, biodegradable surfactant that thoroughly cleanses the hair and prevents frizz and drying of hair post-shampooing.

4. Hydroxy Propyl Guar is a plant based hydrocolloid that provides extensive conditioning and anti-static effect on hair. It also makes the shampoo viscous. We love this ingredient.

5. Glycerin is a natural humectant that keeps hair moisturized during shampoo

6. Hydroxyethyl Urea is a low molecular weight water magnet, part of biomimic NMF that offers long-term hydration for the hair. It protects the Hair Cell Membrane Complex (HCMC) which is key to hair structure integrity.

7. Niacinamide or Vitamin B-3 is an essential amino acid, a superhero ingredient for hair due to its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and antipruritic effects that help in hair conditioning, new hair growth, promoting scalp blood circulation and enhanced oxygenation of hair follicles and roots.

8. Protein Complex is a premix of protein extracted from Soy, Wheat, and Corn. The liquified extract has low molecular weight fractions of peptides (sized 1-4 thousand-dalton). This makes a biomimic composition of amino acids similar to the keratin in human hair therefore directly penetrates the hair shaft. It prevents frizz and provides deep repair.

9. Panthenol or Provitamin B-5 promotes hair health by enhancing hair cell viability and inhibiting cell senescence. Panthenol also helps in androgenic alopecia.

10. Sodium Levulinate/ Potassium Sorbate is a natural combination of weak alpha hydroxy acids that prevents fungal or mold growth in products during long-term storage.

11. Sodium Gluconate acts as a chelating agent that neutralizes any minerals found in the product.
