  • For effective sun protection, SPF alone isn't the only factor to consider. The sun's impact on your skin depends on various variables like your skin's resilience, sunscreen type, and more. While a higher SPF is generally better, it doesn't guarantee complete sun protection. Eluxier recommends a holistic approach with HelioSHEAR, which not only shields against UV radiation but also hydrates, complements other ingredients, and repairs UV-induced damage for more sustainable protection.

  • When you come across a claim on products like ‘Vegan”, “Natural” or “organic” etc., it summarizes the sources of the ingredients and processes used for that product, so that you don’t need to go through the labels in detail and could make your purchase. While a Vegan product indicates that it does not have any ingredients from Animal Source, it may still use several synthetic ingredients as they are not of animal origin as well. A “Natural” product may contain animal-origin ingredients like Bee’s Wax, Lanolin, Squalane, etc., along with other naturally sourced ingredients from plants. An “Organic” product indicates that a certain portion of its ingredients come from natural sources and have been harvested without chemical fertilizers or pesticides etc. All these products could be great or bad depending on what other ingredients have been used and therefore it is highly recommended to invest some time to read through the labels in detail, study the synergy among the ingredients and above all, know about your skin and how these ingredients could help you in your skincare objectives.

Remember, there are miraculous ingredients from all possible sources, be it synthetic, of animal origin or herbal. Depriving yourself from exploring the full potential of care would be unwise.

So instead of restricting yourself to Vegan, Natural or Organic claims, subscribe to Safe, Toxin-free and Sustainable Skincare that commits to clean-label and transparent communication.

  • Cleansing, Moisturizing and protection are the three most important aspects of a skincare routine.

  • Exposing your skin to high temperatures (taking hot showers and sitting in a hot water tub for more than 7 minutes) and rubbing your skin (physical exfoliation or rubbing a scrub on your face) are the habits that damage the epidermis. There are other factors like applying too many products, using the “Dirty Thirty” chemicals as part of your skincare products.

  • While starting a care regime that your skin needs, you need to be watchful of your requirements and what outcomes you expect from your skincare product. Scientific literature indicates that several skin concerns have common triggers and if we treat these smaller symptoms separately, the common trigger may remain unsolved, and therefore a more holistic approach to skincare is always recommended. Apart from physical injury and pathological infections, around 96% of all skin concerns are due to one of the disturbed aspects of the Trinal Balance of Skin.

  • Skin is a complex system, few ingredients show almost immediate but short-lived effects while other things may have slow and lasting impacts. It also depends if you are treating an acute condition or a chronic one. From a general well-being and skin health standpoint, it takes almost 5-8 weeks before you observe the sustainable effects of your skin care products or newly built habits. You need to be patient, observant and mindful when you build new habits and set up new wellness outcomes for your skin or overall health.

  • Skincare formulas are carefully crafted recipes that have been stabilised using several ingredients that often work synergically. Every standalone formula has been developed considering their absorption, action and space in your routine. When you mix any products, you risk making them unstable or reducing their synergy or overall benefits. Eluxier recommends that you use the products responsibly and as indicated on their packaging for safety and complete benefits.

  • The change in weather changes moisture and temperature around us and therefore changes our requirements to cope with these changes.

  • Among all the things that may impact the health of your skin, your diet and sleep are the most important ones. You are what you eat, for good skin, it's necessary to maintain adequate hydration in the body and eat a wholesome diet with balanced proportions of high-fibre, proteins, fat and micronutrients. Complete nutrition can be obtained by either a vegetarian or meat-centric diet, however, it is important to be mindful of the portion size and the intervals between the major meals of the day. Apart from your diet, your alcohol consumption, tobacco, caffeine or fast-food habits may also contribute to the health of the skin and even have an impact on breakouts. If your diet is adequate, you will realize that your skincare products will be more efficient and will yield faster and more noticeable results.

  • Every skin is an individual skin and there are as many skin types out there, as many people are there in the world. Still, in the enormous world of scientific research, the only skin types for any type of clinical evaluation, are either healthy or diseased (or ‘affected’ by some pathological affection), the rest of everything is just a reference from someone else’s skin.
